In the very heart of the Egadi islands is a wonderful private residence overlooking the sea, the result of a renovation project designed to blend in perfectly with the Mediterranean landscape to exploit its potential.

At the request of the customer, who was looking for a solution that would allow CorTen to be used in areas close to the sea, tubulars were made from Cortenox®, a finish made by Dreamet that gives the typical aesthetic effect of Cor-Ten with all the benefits of stainless steel.

The use of stainless steel was necessary as CorTen tends to suffer from the unsightly effects of rust and corrosion near wet areas and especially when in contact with salt water. With the use of stainless steel tubing, it is possible to overcome these limitations and at the same time enjoy both the strength and the unique colour effect of CorTen.
